Harvest Quilter's Guild Fabric Challenge 2011 - fabric in center is the challenge fabric.
Mariner’s compass pattern is from “Mariner’s Compass Quilts: Setting a New Course” by Judy Mathieson. The woven fabric backround technique is from “Simply Stunning Woven Quilts” by Anna Faustino.
Started during a Harvest Quilter's guild class with Anna Faustino.
Background is woven strips of fabric. Plant is from an applique pattern by Pat Campbell.
I took the class with Pat Campbell in 1999 at Cozy Corner. When I found out she designed the “Fossil Fern” fabrics I kept chanting in my head “I’m not worthy, I’m not worthy…” I was a newer quilter being taught by a master!
- Inspired by “Quilts, Quilts, Quilts II”
I taught this as a class and made this during my time at Cozy Corner in Scotch Plains, NJ. Fabrics are Asian-inspired.
Designed for Harvest Quilter’s guild challenge. It had to rhyme with “blue”. This is Pinball Wizard by “the WHO”.
Pattern from a class taken with Bisa Butler.
From Karen Stone’s “Cinco de Mayo” book. Each block is 6″ x 6″. Quilt size is 24″ x 24″.
I created this quilt for it’s energy. I also like working with circles. I have another tie-dyed panel waiting for the right quilt project. Hmm, what to do…
